Zack’s Fire & Ice was started by Randy Stewart in 2010 when he took over Zack’s Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream. Stewart was a pastor who saw the potential of Zack’s Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream and wanted to add barbecue to its offerings. He had the idea to build a large commercial kitchen, which would allow him to enjoy one of his passions – barbecue. After the much-needed renovation of Zack’s Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream came Zack’s Fire & Ice as we know it today.

At first glance, one might not think of putting barbecue and ice cream together in one place. However, Stewart’s hard work and dedication to the business has proved that anything is possible. At present, Zack’s Fire & Ice has become the ideal place for families to get together on weekends with the parents enjoying the flavor of Zack’s barbecue and the kids satisfying their cravings for ice cream.

Since its establishment, Zack’s Fire & Ice has grown their client base all over the state. Their barbecue menu has been dubbed as the “best BBQ in Akron” a number of times. The restaurant has also started the Bones & Cones Club for their loyal patrons. Members of this club are entitled to discounts and rewards from Zack’s Fire & Ice. They have also offered their catering services for those who wish to bring the flavor of Zack’s Fire & Ice into their parties and gatherings.
